Ghosts of Sleepy Hollow

The '76 House is kicking off October strong with a storytelling talk diving deep into what the spirit of Major John Andre wants to tell us about the American Revolution. How the Headless Horseman, that galloping goblin, serves as a metaphor for the United States. Why a spell, perhaps cast by "Mother Hulda," makes her the witch of the Revolution. And of course we must find out what the Wailing Woman in White warns! Drawing from the book "Legends and Lore of Sleepy Hollow," Jonathan Kruk shares the origins and meanings of the Revolution's haunting ghosts. So come for dinner and an old school storytelling adventure at The '76 house!

Tunnel To Towers Foundation Dinner

The '76 House is proud to work with Valiant Vodka to host this Tunnels To Towers Foundation Fundraising Dinner. It will be a night to honor and support our first responders with $25 from each entry fee going to the Tunnels To Towers Foundation along with other fundraisers throughout the night. To start, enjoy a special cocktail hour with one "The do Good Martini" on us! Followed by a mouth watering three course meal. We'll have a surprise special guest speaker that night along with the Fire Dept. Fife & Drum Band to keep the beat going. So be sure to grab your tickets today!

Get into the Halloween spirit! Join our beginner-friendly candle workshop & create your own spooky candle with festive décor! Make your very own one-of-a-kind 7 oz candle! You’ll start by choosing your favorite fragrance and colors to create a candle that perfectly fits your style. Learn how to create beautiful decorative layers, experiment with fun specialty designs, and personalize your candle from top to bottom.

You’ll also have a wide variety of candle-safe décor and embellishments to choose from, so you can mix, match, layer, and decorate to your heart’s content. Whether you want something cute, colorful, spooky, or completely unique, the design is up to you!

Something Wicked this way blows and it's bringing out the creativity in all of us at The '76 House! Mary Taylor is back with a special October paint night where she walks you through painting your very own spooky witches house in the woods! And of course once the paint has dried we'll be striking up the band with Mary herself and the Soulutions.

The spirits are alive at The '76 House and this October we are reaching out to the other side. Join us for a very special night as Sage Osa with her 25 years of experience reaches out to the other side to help us connect and heal with the unknown. Princess Halloween Brunch

Hear ye, hear ye calling all princesses? The '76 House is hosting a very special Spooktacular Princess Halloween Brunch! Come enjoy our magnificent brunch buffet with three very special classic princesses! When you are ready, pick a pumpkin from the '76 House pumpkin patch to paint at your table! Other events happening during the brunch include face painting and a halloween market. If you want to have a little extra fun make sure to dress up for the event! Scary Tales & Poetry

The '76 House wants to invite you to this very spooky very fun Halloween event! Come grab a meal or even just a drink with us as the Nyack Village Theater Group thrills and chills us with readings from Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Mary Shelley, Steven King, & more! We will round out the night with the winners of our costume competition, so make sure to dress for the occasion!
